01 — Project Overview
Source: proposal §1–3.
Identity
| Project name (EN) | TNSU Education Management Platform |
| Project name (TH) | โครงการพัฒนาแพลตฟอร์มบริหารจัดการการศึกษาและกีฬา มหาวิทยาลัยการกีฬาแห่งชาติ |
| Client | Thailand National Sports University (มหาวิทยาลัยการกีฬาแห่งชาติ, TNSU) |
| Vendor | Stream (บริษัทฯ) |
| Folder name | e-Education. There is no legacy system to migrate from or integrate with (confirmed 2026-10-30). The proposal's mentions of "ระบบเดิม E-Education" do not apply |
| Tagline | "แพลตฟอร์มเดียว ครอบคลุมการศึกษาและกีฬา เชื่อมโยงทุกหน่วยงาน" (one platform covering education and sports, linking every unit) |
| UI slogans [mockup] | "สร้างคนกีฬา สู่ความเป็นเลิศ", "มุ่งสู่ความเป็นเลิศ ทั้งการศึกษาและกีฬา" |
Scale and organisational structure [confirmed in proposal]
- Central office (ส่วนกลาง): university-wide administration and executives.
- 17 campuses (วิทยาเขต): higher education (faculties, majors, courses, credits, GPA).
- 13 sports schools (โรงเรียนกีฬา): secondary education, boarding students (นักเรียนประจำ), with athlete development.
Mockup figures (illustrative only) [mockup]: ~18,452 learners in total (12,381 at campuses and 6,071 at sports schools), 2,186 staff, a campus of ~1,500 students, and a sports school of ~480 students.
Why the system is needed (problems → solution)
| Problem | Impact | Solution direction |
|---|---|---|
| Systems and data are siloed | Duplicate data, complex coordination | Central platform linking 17 campuses and 13 schools |
| Generic education systems ignore sports | Athlete, dorm, training and competition data kept separately | Dedicated sports and boarding modules linked to academic data |
| Student and parent services need many steps | Must contact staff to get information or status | Student Web Portal and Mobile Apps (student and parent) |
| Payments and scholarships are complex | Reconciling payments, กยศ. and scholarships is slow | Payment gateway, กยศ. and scholarship management, outstanding-balance calculation |
| Requests and documents need many steps | Slow approval and tracking | Electronic workflow, e-signature, status tracking, audit trail |
| Management reporting is hard to compile | Executives lack timely overview | Executive Dashboard and AI Analytics |
| Staff answer the same questions repeatedly | Repetitive workload | AI Bot that answers within the user's permissions |
Benefits per stakeholder
| Group | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Students (นักเรียน / นักศึกษา) | See academic info, register courses, file requests, view grades, pay, and track status via app and web |
| Parents (ผู้ปกครอง) | Follow grades, attendance, leave, dorm info and announcements, within granted permissions |
| Teachers, lecturers, coaches | Manage teaching, grades, training and competitions, and track learner and athlete progress |
| Staff (เจ้าหน้าที่) | Less double entry; easier registrar, finance, scholarship, request and approval work |
| Executives (ผู้บริหาร) | KPIs across university, campuses and schools, with analytics for decision-making |
Differentiators claimed vs. the market (§3.2)
- Combines university registrar and sports-school management in one platform.
- Adds boarding, health, nutrition, training, competition and athletic performance, which generic school systems lack.
- Links fees + payment gateway + กยศ. + scholarships to compute the amount actually payable.
- A dedicated Parent app in addition to the student channels.
- A dashboard across all education levels plus AI Analytics and AI Bot.
Delivery approach
Phased implementation: build in priority order (core education → mobile/web services → finance and scholarships → external integrations → AI) and go live per module as ready. Modular architecture on a shared central data layer. See 09-delivery-plan.md.
